After reading a few of these posts I'm not sure mine even qualifies. I’m doing fairly well on the fuel economy side and I could beat that 152 mph if you’d insert a decimal between the 5 and the 2. I have most of you beat on 928 content though, as that’s what I’ll be using to tow it to and from the water. Factory hitch installed, I just need to either change the trailer to 2” or make and adapter for a 1 7/8” ball.

Love the Hobie, got my first one when I was 12, 14' turbo. Finally sold it back in 1997. Parents had a Prindle 18 and we'd run the Prairie Regatta at Cheney Lake every year. Really miss those simple days. Hell, I miss being on the water whenever I wanted to be.

Damn, if I had a boat like that I would make the crew pipe me aboard like and admiral!! I would also have a 5" gun on the forecastle and go hunting pirates, or be one.

I have two addictions 928's and boats. I built a 50ft steel hull trawler, I have a 500hp 20ft Marathon marine jet boat for the rivers in land locked Alberta and a couple of 12ft lasers that we sail at the cottage and I love all of them. It's a sickness. Polecat shoot me a PM if you need crew, any place any time.

Dan that is a gorgeous boat. I had a Tartan 10 for a bit. Very fast and lots of fun. Good times.

Cool! My first boat was a Catalina 30 (hull# 427, still sailing on SF bay). That was also my first sail to Hawaii in '82, and back to San Fran, and also how Sue and I met. Long story.

We've got two boats now, a 50' sloop that we've had for 20 years (yikes!) and which took us around the world (another long story), and a 25' aluminum pilothouse fishboat for bumming around the islands here. I need to find some pic's....

I have a Harpoon 5.2m day sailer that I take out on Lake Washington occasionally. It shares space in my garage with my 928.

Wow Dan... that's killer. You don't mess around, I know. I'm a sailor....My last boat was a 28' cigarette....$400 in gas every weekend got old, I know that's not a lot of dough to some....

If I ever get a chance two S4 motors or euros in a boat would be nice.

Love Catalina's! I had a very nice 22 for a while (previous pic in thread) and have been looking for a well taken care of 30.

I went J/24 racing last night on Lk Washington. What a hoot!

Boat costs = JAT {Just another thousand}
or
Owning a boat is like putting on your finest suit, taking a cold shower while tearing $100 bills

Nice Tiara! I sold my 2007 38 about 16 months ago. This is one of the current family boats, 1998 63' Sunseeker Predator with twin 1200 hp MAN diesels...
