Now's a good time to check for break in the cables to the door. Looking good, keep up the good work. Pictures are always good!

to remove the MC on the 86 its not too hard.
remove the cross brace the top aircleaner and intake tubes,
then the left side intake plenum,
then the power booster hose from the booster,
then its 1 wire connection at the reservoir,
then 2 13mm nuts and then 2 hose connections .

Should take about 30 mins to get it out keep some rags under the MC so the fluid wont drip all over the engine or fender wells

more done, fitted the vapor barriers in the doors and the headliner as well as the rewire of the fried harness for the roof lights. Swapped out the front bumper shocks as both were spent now i have to trim the S cutouts in the bumper also fitted the Black headlight covers.
and rehabbed the console covers

Looks better and better! But I wonder why you don't have that grey front bumper cover sprayed, rather than cutting the old one... Why does an 86 even have a bumper cover without the cut-outs?

Earlier non-s cover fitted previously as a repair.
Or S spolier delete, which I don't think this is.

I borrowed the bumper from Josh who lives up the street to use as a template for the S cutouts

a bit more done rehabbed the washer tank and washer pump, removed the metal collars and fitted the washer pump and one of Nicoles Y fittings,
Also got to inspecting the belt run, it needs a new T belt it had oil all over it, and WP bearing spun to freely and made a slight rumble, so thats getting done.

The oil pump was glued into the block with loctite 574 , who does this kind of work??

I see some dirt on the AC compressor, Stan! You really need to clean-up better

No, srsly - you are doing an amazing job. Thanks for documenting it here!

Oh yeah! Looking good. This great for me to see. It's jogging my head for all the other little stuff I have to tackle. Just curious, what plastic do you use tonreseal the doors and do you just adhere with contact cement? Seen a lot of hack jobs but loctite on the oil pump takes the cake. Can't wait to see this unit rolling. Cheers!

the door vapor barriers are easy,
go to the dollar store and buy a hi quality shower curtain in clear for one dollar, then use the weldwood contact cement to glue in the drip panels then cover the whole door with a bigger sheet.
