Nigel,
Very difficult to run the EFI hose to achieve the bend radius needed.
The preformed hose makes it very easy and emulates the factory hose exactly.

Couldn't you just use a really long piece and route it around somewhere?

The fuel hose at the rear can be lengthened but you run the risk of abrasion on something. Note the other hoses in the thread that have abrasion damage.

As for the CPS, getting them out can be a SOB job. I might start with the connector refresh, and if that didn't take care of it, go for the CPS later. Use a generous amount of penetrating lube first.

how about Samco Sport , 'pro fuel ' fuel resistant ultraflex hose, 6mm bore x 1m [3.3feet] costs GBP55 [british pound ] lots of pretty colours,pay more for pink or even camo!

May not be Ethanol safe. It says for "petroleum fuels", Ethanol is not petroleum based. Nice colors though.
