I'm going to miss again.....
My daughter is in a play which has been set for the evening of the 4th.
Looks like next year
On the bright side we will have three freshly painted cars to drive next year and might just bring all of them. Maybe that will convince the kids to skip the play!

I missed 3 years in a row due to HS graduations and last year because I went to OCIC instead; not missing this year. I'll miss seeing you. Does that make you feel better?

I think this year is going to be THE year. New venue is going to be great! If you've never been, you really should go - you will not regret it. If you've been before, you KNOW you should go.

Your son/daughter might cry a bit, but they'll get over it especially when you start paying for therapy. Think of it as a trial separation for when the kid moves out. For the record, I'm going to mis my kids piano recital. Wife didn't even say a thing - she knew it wasn't on the negotiating table.

There is always the possibility my 928 won't be there, never happened but some times it's been close. I would go without it and park in the leper colony.

I'm gonna miss it this year. I have been the last 2 years. Had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and I think I will stay home and mend.

I will not be attending because I won't have any of my cars ready to go by then. I realized this two weeks ago and gave my hotel room to Nicole. She will more than make up for my absence.

Maybe me and Crazy Mike get together and drink alot of rum and beer, tell tall tales and drive like madmen. It will be a virtual SITM. If we drink enough rum we may not be able to tell the difference.

I am going to miss my dead line, I got a 928 in Feb. Silly me, thought I could get is all done by SITM time... Wrong. I will get the front of the engine done. It is done right. Now I have to get the intake and fuel done, paint, interior ......

I was really excited about attending SITM this year, after missing the last 2 years. But then my son went and got named Indiana HS volleyball All-State and has a North vs South all star match that weekend. Seeing as how he's graduating and will be off to college, my time left with him is short.

That 700+ mile drive from FL to Banner Elk really sucks. A big part of what makes it worth it is to drive the 928 on those mountain roads since we have none here in FL. I cannot imagine making that journey in a Ford Explorer. If I had another sports car to drive it might be an option. Sorry
