Default types of ground straps

What is the most effective type of engine to chassis ground strap for my "78, 928 5 speed--bare or braded copper or insulated copper or aluminum? Is there an appreciable difference? Thanks for any comments.

For that location I'd use a bare braided copper strap - it will get wet - and bare lets it dry quickly and lets you see how it looks more easily. Pretty inexpensive - so can just be replaced as appears needed...

The car came with a ground strap from the engine to frame part number 928 612 011 00 and we sell it for $15.76 if that helps.

At that price its pretty hard to beat just staying stock. Getting the right length and mounting lugs is always a challenge with after market solutions unless you make up your own ends...
