I noticed that. Pretty low, too.

That's awesome!

He could make a small business out of this and quite possibly pay for design school.

Is he looking for more such jobs?

Road line would be the line that is drawn across the paper which the car sits on (basically a horizon line) That is if the car is drawn as a side portrait. I'll see if I can find a picture somewhere.

Something like this, and one would include the owners name and Vin# or whatever they would like along the bottom

Yes, he does these for many people. It's his hobby. If you ( or anyone else ) wants one made, PM me the photograph you would like reproduced and the size that you want ( this one is 11" X 14" ) and I'll ask him what he would charge. I'll have to go back and see what I paid for this one. I think it was less than $200.

That's very reasonable!

Once I'm employed again, I might be interested.

The 928 as we know has some of the most unique lines ever put on a car and makes a great art subject IMHO.

Ive got an image of a piece i would love to see done by Dru Blair. Hes a 928 guy and one of the best airbrush artists in the world.

a silver (of course)928 front quarter head on view...sitting all hunkered down at 115mph or so on a german autobahn..dark asphault/road surface...fresh white lane markers..running lights ons....a slight misting water spray coming up behind . Beautiful green german forestry in the background and a larger dark grey thunderstorm with rain and lightning just off in the distance behind it.
Titled "Out running the storm"

it all in my head just have to get it on to paper.

i really need to break out my sketch pad..its been a while and a great way to pass time.

That sounds like a winner Tony. Get it on paper, I'd love to see it.

I'm thinking about having this young man do a few more for me. Maybe with colored pencils next time. BTW, I checked and it was alot cheaper than I thought. $150 for an 11"x14" drawing, framed and matted. I haven't seen the frame yet but It's probably a plain one. Either way, I think it's a good deal.
