Koni Shocks w/ stock springs 86.5
#2
I have the adjustable Koni's (stock springs) on my 87 S4 and they work beautifully. I put them on full soft when I drive on the street and when I go to the track I stiffen them up. I highly recommend them. I do not have any data on ride harshness other than on full soft they ride no worse than stock and the car feels better.

Well they are on the way
Tirerack having a special for $146 each. Seems like a nice price and I am pretty certain the shocks that are on the car are original with 131,000 careful miles.
I am sure I will be combing the threads for install help. I wouldn't have considered buying this car without this forum.
So far have done TB/WP, fixed power seat( still one to go). fixed fuel gauge, replaced fuel hoses, installed RMB, X-pipe, 87 FPR, cats deleted, smog pump delete, Porken chip, Boxster S lobsters 8 x 19s w/235 35s and 9.5 x 19 w/ 265 35 PS2s.
I have done all this on a car I have driven about 60 miles so far. For now thanks to you all. Maybe later I will blame you.
