Many times a Porsche for sale ad isn't just to keep a spouse happy, the lister may ACTUALLY want to sell it, and that means somebody will make an offer at some point and it will be accepted. People I talk to that buy cars make offers I wouldn't dream of, and the sellers take the money and move on.
