Wow, very pretty car Patrick. The sport Classic 2's are some of my favorite wheels. I think your price is great, best of luck on the sale.

Amsoil?!?

Oh man. You strekked up the car! Now you'll have to part it out.

Seriously, though, that's a nice looking example. Any chance for a straight up swap for a 79/80 OB w/ "minor" electrical issues and "minor" bodywork?

Hmmm....
I bet I can get my 2 & 5yr olds in the back huh. Nice car, maybe I can stack my 914 on top of this in the garage, no? I'm thinking one of those bike ceiling pulley systems should do it.

I bought my '84 off eBay with an Autocheck score of 72.... the car had not run in 4 years (broken timing belt that was represented on eBay as "needs battery").

So, IMO, and based on a sample size of 1, I think Autocheck is a complete waste of time and space. How this one can be a 23 and mine was a 72 defies conventional wisdom.....

I bought one that sat 10 years and the ad said "just put new fluids in it and go". Not quite so easy. But ultimately it was a good project.

As I've learned (almost the hard way-if not for the great advice here) an Autocheck and CarFax mean nothing. My 2006 Honda Civic has been in 2 accidents and had 2 doors replaced. Due to mileage and 1 owner, even with the accident, it scores higher on Autocheck than almost any that are on eBay.

The reports can only tell and interpolate what's been reported. If there are no accident reports, a car in 10 wrecks with 20,000 miles and 1 owner will score off the chart. It could be in pieces and not running.

I wonder if I pulled up next to you in Okemos last year. I don't see very many 928's around Lansing.

I don't think it was me. As the only time I saw a 928 next to me was a black GT and the guy had a license plate that said "bubba" if I remember correctly. I unfortunately was not in my 928 at the time but a BMW and we chatted for a bit. Seemed like a nice guy.

Sold to the high bidder at the end of the auction. A bit over 13k. Car market sucks right now.

Autocheck and carfax aren't a green light, they are a valuable thing to check for red flags, salvage titles, flood titles, ownership patterns, odometer rollback, just pay no attention to the score.
