Aryan: I think I photographed the insides prior to mounting the tires but I don't have my camera with me today. I do remember it said inside that they are made in Germany by BBS. Since they were on a Panamera, which is heavier than the 928, and Porsche's tendency to set their specifications at overkill levels, I'm sure the load capacity is fairly large. I'll check later and post the specs.

Paul,
The wheels look great. But, then, I'm a bit prejudiced, as I like the 10 spoke 18" wheels on the later (not seen them on the earlier) 928's.
I've purchased a "set" of 6 Porsche Sport Design 18" two piece wheels made by BBS, in order to make a custom set for my 928 ('89 S4 or '94 GTS). The rears are 10" et 65, from a 996, and the fronts are "now" 9" et 70. The fronts are made using the spider from the 7.5" et 50 front wheel on Boxsters, and the 9" barrel from the rear of the early Boxsters that used these wheels. Works perfectly, using 295/30 and 255/35 tires. No rubbing, no issues on either car.
This is an alternative for someone looking for what is probably the widest set of OE wheels we can use on our cars without any fender rolling/widening, etc.
Good luck with the car.
Cheers,
Gary Knox

So do those wheels have generic valve stems in them or do they have the tire pressure monitoring valve stems? I'm just wondering because i may want to get a hold of some of these wheels, but the seller has no valve stems in them.
Also have you had any experience with them rubbing at all? Under normal conditions or even under spirited driving?

I have a set of 10 spokes on my 81, the fronts rub a bit when going around a corner quickly ( my suspension went soft ) but I have 245's on it.
They ride nicely and comfortably, although they do make more tire noise, but they just look so good and are a huge handling improvement over the old 16's and are still just as comfortable that I couldn't resist the upgrade.
I added insulation and the wheel wells to counter this and made the car even quieter than with the 16's.
I just need to put on the bigger brakes to make it look the part.

Really like the look of the Panamera wheels on the 928.
I drive an 88 928S and would like those wheels on mine.
Did you use spacers or are the wheels OK without.
Just askin, the offset is a lot more on the Panamera wheels than stock.

I actually tried this before posting and got nothing, idk why mine would be any different (87 S4) but i may have to buy some used dust caps and cut them down to make this work, and for getting them off for wheel bearing service i'd have to tap the center of it and use a bolt to extract it... god damnit

Go for 235's on an OB in the front, my 245's rub a little on my 1981 US I could have put 275's in the rear but the 265's came up for a good deal on Craigslist..
Here is a picture of them on an older car. Fender is a different color because of a fender bender I got into February.
