THere's a set of 85/86 manifolds on ebay that would go well with that engine, if you aren't going straight to aftermarket headers....
And why can't I remember the name of the process to check heads and internals for cracks?? THis getting old thing....

Looks like my luck is over- I guess I need another 4.7 block. What year would work? A bunch of little rocks where in there from when the PO was trying to get it started and not being very careful with what fell in the intakes. Only 1 cylinder damaged bad. Maybe I can reuse these pistons. Man, I am now definitely way out of my league. Where do I go from here? Gunar

Time for an update. The heads are almost done. The machine shop had trouble with the inside of some of the new valve guides being out of round and had to order more. I found about 3 hydraulic lifters that the button would not move so maybe this explains the 4 bent exhaust valves and the lack of compression. I have rebuilt the rubber part of the fuel lines in the engine bay and cleaned and touched up the bay. The engine is cleaned and resealed. It is just waiting for the heads. I ordered all the engine seals separately from Pelican and Auto Atlanta(no kit). The brake and clutch masters are new and I rebuilt the clutch slave. Still have to flush, fill and bleed the lines. I rebuilt the steering rack with a kit from Rennbay. Everything went good and I will cross my fingers that it doesn't leak. A couple of seals were wrong in the kit. They were the ones on the center part of the shaft that seals the left side from the right. I probably didn't need to replace these seals(plastic and o-ring under) but I had already cut them off. I was able to find the seals at an aircraft seal supply place run by an old couple. They let/helped me look through the building until I found something that would work. I had to grind(Dremel) the non-critical inside diameter some to make this Delrin seal fit over its carrier. The rack boots were a struggle to install especially when my hands got tired from the struggle. I'll check back in when I get the heads on. Gunar --- Oh yeah - I got new tires , all the wheels polished AND a dog!

Engine in and I hauled the car from NC to Oklahoma over Christmas where my brothers and I repainted it. It now awaits final assembly of the fuel injection, clutch, radiator, exhaust etc. I may have it started for the first time this week. Gunar

Looks great!
I would recommend replacing your exhaust manifold nuts with stainless ones. If you ever have to turn them with the engine installed they won't have seized on there.
And get some '85 manifolds if you have the chance.
You are going to have a killer car!
