Seat Cores --- don't discard
#16
OK, I have been through the seat PET, but I still havent found what I'm looking for. I guess that is valid for U 2 ?
(sorry guys, just couldnt help doing that)
Anyway, I can not find the cushion. I may be able to fix it without the side cushion, but the center cushion pads need to be renewed. I do not think they are specific for the sport seats though.

Search for "928 521 385 26" in www.karrera.net/catalogs/en.row.stz.1.pdf. Seems like its just one big piece for center and sides and it doesn't seems like its available for sport seats. Maybe something can be modified and fabricated out of comfort seat foam.
Try send Paul Champagne a mail. I've read threads where he has rebuilt comfort seats to sport seats.

The base is a single molded piece.
There might be fine nuances between seats and versions of change mixed in, but here's what the insides look like.
In the very last picture, forgive the mess, the light grey seat is from an S4. The dark brown seat was an original from an early 85, having a burned-out recline motor. Unfortunately, the recline motor is located in the headrest! Time for surgery.

Great, thanks a bunch.
I was just about to take 1.5 seats to the metal recyclers so I could get some meth. I guess I'll have to store them (forever), now.
The '85-up seats are very nicely constructed. I rebuilt the sport passenger seat I have in my '85 which had a broken upper frame, using a donor comfort seat.
