Atlanta Peeps, anybody for North GA mountain drive next weekend?

Just a thought, think I am going to go for a pre SITM drive.

I got a PM from a local member who drove home the point we do not have any group events, we should have more.

Sounds like fun, but you're gonna make me spend every evening in the garage this week to get my car back together! After a weekend where I couldn't get in there even once.

Maybe I should not have said anything till mine was ready to go; now I am going to be jealous! I would love to come and watch the group from the tail end with the family minivan. There is also an event at Road Atlanta(The Mitty) this weekend, few miles from were I am at, that I thought about taking my 928 and parking in the infield corrals; I believe they have a lunch break were you can do some parade laps.

I won't be there for this one, but I am moving to Acworth next weekend!

I am also going to SITM and would love to get involved in a group drive to the event!

I can get the 928 on the trailer in no time :-).

I may get a rain check for this weekend, I still need to put new motor mounts and a oil pan gasket, remove the SC to replace the coolant bridge seals, remove all the SC internals and powdercoat it wrinkle black blah blah blah.

The Mitty is this weekend? That's where I'll be! I've been planning on participating in it and it's my favorite event of the year. Funny how the engine in my car always seems to be on the way in or out when it comes up
At least it's on its way in this time.

Murhover, where in Dacula are you? I live there too! The ride to RA by way of Hog Mountain rd can make for a nice drive. Some actual mountain like roads!

Count me in for a Shmark wrench party any time other than the Mitty weekend!

Can't this weekend. I'll be in the garage installing Dynamat and carpet in the Saudi car. I've been trying to work on it for three weeks now and one thing or another keeps getting in the way. How about the next weekend instead?

That will work for me Mike, I may come up and pick up the ultrasonic cleaner this weekend if you are going to be working out in your Garage Mahal.

(Mike has a better Garage than some shops I have seen)

If it's next weekend, I'm in. I put over 1,000 miles on the GT last weekend and it's ready for more.
I'll be in the garage most of this weekend for sure. I'll be driving to Cumming early Saturday to help a friend figure out a no start issue with his 88 S4 but I expect to be back by noon.
Thanks for the words on the garage. It's a never ending work in progress.
