The wheels look great! Looking forward to pics of them on your car. Very nice job.

Some quick pictures under my car now.
In a hurry, I'll post more in sunshine so shiny rim will come out better in pics.

Thanks, Paul

That looks awesome.

I also noticed that you're running SO2 Bridgestones in the rear, what size are you running?

Afshin,

thanks! I looked many times at your car to see how my result would gonne look like. Instead of painting the outer ring silver (like yours I read) I had them polished.

I bought the D90 set from the internet (dutch e-bay). They had RDK sensors in them.
Brought them to a specialised "rim-doctor".
He repaired them, painted them (also the inside) and polished the outer ring.
Then he put clear coat over the whole rim to secure also the polished part.
He had painted the RDK sensors also (only on the inside of the rim) so I was a bit afraid this would influence the working of them but I see no error messages in my pod so I presume everything is working fine.

My tires are 245/45 ZR16 Had them installed a couple of weeks ago. When I bought the car there was a slight humming noise when the car drives at +/- 60km/h. Somebody told me the tires could have a "flat side" due to long standing still. The sound is indeed slightly less but still there. It disappears >60Km/h.
The V shape of the profile is noisier than a non V shape I was told (after I had them installed....).

Anyhow, thanks for your (and everybody else's) input. I also think it gives the car a nice factory-look upgraded look!

Thanks, Paul

Hallo Paul, ik ben erg onder de indruk van jouw velgen. Zouden deze velgen ook onder een 911 cabrio uit 1986 passen(G Model)? Gr. Marco den Ouden
