Default RDK needs reprogramming ?

Hi.
Just bought a "new" set of design 90 rims with RDK.
I now have the standard flat disc rims with RDK.

Do I need to "reset" or do something else to make the sensors work aigain with the new rims ?

Thanks,
Paul
'90 S4 (with RDK).

Hi Paul,

I assume, someone's disabled your RDK? Then check first, whether pin no. 2 and 16 from the connector of the RDK-controller is bridged. Second thing would be to check the ground point no. 4 where the RDK-ECU should be connected.

Normally then it should work without additional mods.

hth,

Marc

Hi Marc,
no my RDK is working fine with my flat discs now. I don't have the design 90 rims yet. I'm just curious what happens when I put them under my car tommorow...

Thanks.

Should work just fine if sensors are ok. If you get error try owners manual reset method first.

Make sure tire shop do not use too high pressure if you have tires mounted to them.

Should be fine...the sensors don't care what kind of wheel is producing the field they are reading...

Hi.
I put my tires up to 3 bar to avoid my RDK to give an error.
