Greg you need to use fine line tape, here it is blue, the red I am using is a pearl, as such it is designed to go over another colour and have both colours have some impact. You won't be able to do it with a non pearl paint.

Dave, the paint is Glasurit, I got the colours from their proofies, if you are really interested I can find it and send it to you.

Yes, the 3M fine line is blue here also, great stuff for going around curves.

I have done candies before, mostly over a fine gold base.
This one is Candy Apple Red over fine gold, it was done in the late 80's and still looks great.
We put some Mica in it so it changes color a bit by angle, still very red.
