928s R us and Roger Tyson

I like how Roger tends to talk me out of stuff I don't need, knowing there WILL be more necessary and expensive items on the horizon....like the brake master cylinder I'm about to order.

Always great service from Roger, Laura, and Zane. Now - if Laura and Zane could just help him with that accent from across the pond, we'd all be able to understand him better - HA.
Keep up the great work 928sRus folks.

Roger and Co. have helped me source the right part for my 86.5 for some time. because it is a half year version car it can be tricky. When I have questioned the version of the part he is most often right. His personality makes him very pleasant to buy from and he is very fair if I do get something I need to send back. I am bad about adding onto pending orders as I move to other issues while waiting for parts but he combines the orders when he can saving me shipping. I feel guilty asking him if he has small items that you can't make money on but those items can make or break the quality of the job your doing. I think he understands how we feel about these cars and appreciate his help very much.

Roger is top man! He delivered a windshield to me in Iowa in the back of his 928. Top that. I thought our company gave good customer service. He made me look like an amateur.

Without Rogers help on hundreds of 928 issues, a lot of us would end up here!

A few years back, Roger graciously donated a bunch of filters and swag to our little Boston area GTG.
Good deeds go a long way in building loyalty. Thanks Roger.

Murphy's Law...my car runs flawlessly...never misses a beat...I have a fun run with the local Porsche club this weekend.....all other ones the car has been in shop getting upgrades/repairs whatever..or its disassembled in my garage..
Get in it today...crank crank crank...nothing...crank crank crank...doesn't even try to catch. Fuel pump jumpered buzzes like crazy...power to EZK when jumpered..all the 53 relays are new less than 6 months ago..still swapped around the key ones to be sure..of course they are still good..
Check the tach while cranking....D E A D. CPS...so I'm reading some horror stories about getting this thing out....
Believe it or not...I get it out without really much trouble ..used some PBlaster and lots of good taps on the allen screw on the end of several extensions and that must have broken everything loose nicely...
This CPS is beyond done....big outward -facing indention..pushed in in other places...some metal filings on there for flavor...of course the surface is under a layer of packed on grease/oil so I don't see the reverse-moon crater surface till I scrape off the gunk....yeah OK that's more than likely it...
I go to unplug it...the plastic making up the male end comes off inside the harness plug..the one that goes to the engine harness...with almost no pressure at all....great....
Luckily that stuff is petrified like old bake lite and comes out easily with a pick...
I call Roger in a panic...I get our friend Laura. She gets me a part out that day...keep in mind it's after 1pm their time and the deadline is 3pm to get an overnight processed...so they hoof it...
I get the email from USPS...I will have a CPS tomorrow!
Thank you guys! Saved me from having to drive the Camaro for the 2nd time
And for the record it's a 2016 with the 455 HP engine..magna ride, and diff. from the Vette with the 6 speed Tremec manual...it's an amazing car...but it's not the SAME...and it never ever will be.
You feel like you are going fast when you hit 90 in the Camaro...when you hit 90 in the 928 you feel like you are home.
