Default Black Sea R&D 924/944/968 Super Bearings

Just a quick announcement since I know some of us also drive the Porsches with half of our engines in them.

We have finally rolled out our Super Bearings for the 924, 944 and 968 Porsche variants. This new Super Bearing can be seen in our new avatar.

Price is currently set at $655.00 for a set of four (4) plus shipping. We will offer free TT rebuilds for awhile.

During the rebuild we also treat for rust and re-coat the TT.

Limited number of sets left and we just made the announcement today on the 944 Turbo and Turbos S forums of their availability.

Thought to make this announcement here too for my 928 friends before hitting the rest of the 924/944/968 forums.

Cheers,

Hi Greg,

OD is different but they hold the same size drive shaft.

These new bearing units use the same size bearings and bearing inserts as our 928 Super Bearings. No "small" (sorry, couldn't resist the pun) feat to get the clearances right between the hard outer housing and the rubber surrounding it to fit in the smaller ID of the 924/944/968 TTs and house the same 928 Super Bearing internals.

Lot$$$$ of futzing with these to get just right. But the results were worth it!

Cheers,

Constantine, what does a pair of 928 SuperBearings cost? I think I'm gonna need a pair.

If you build it, I do not even need to see it to know it is a work of art.
I have seen your work before.

Highly recommend Constantine's bearings to our half sized bretheren. They truly are "Super" bearings!

Hi Landseer,

Three (3) steel 928 Super Bearings go for $558.00, plus shipping. We will always recommend three for a rebuild for all 928 torque tubes. Three bearings support the drive shaft optimally.

However, if you have a normally aspirated 928 automatic, especially a pre-S4 version and will not be doing punishing track style driving with it, then two (2) at $373.00, plus shipping, will work just fine. Especially if you are using a Super Clamp too.

Cheers,

Umm, I'm told it's not the size that matters...

Thanks for the kudos!

See you soon,
