Anybody know what the material is on the motor mount heat shields? It's some sort of fibrous material sandwiched between two layers of foil. Mine's looking kind of rough, so I'd like to replace it before finishing up with new motor mounts.

Sounds like P/N 928.111.103.01, which costs $50.19. I wonder how good it would look if you just very carefully wrapped the shield in heavy-duty aluminum foil, perhaps glued on with high-temp silicone...
