Default Door Panels NEW Reproductions Available

UPDATE 2/9/2012
On my last order I was able to negotiate some reduced pricing with my vendors during the holidays when business was slow for them. So I figured I'd pass on the savings.
I have 10 sets left.
SALE PRICED $350 per set. Unfinished. Finished prices remain the same. See below for details.
Send me a message or email info@classic9leathershop.com

I'm having some door panels made.
They are reproductions of the originals made from 1/8 inch ABS plastic.
All mounting holes including those for the door inserts will be there.
The round speaker holes for the mid and later cars are marked for cutting but not cut out. You can cut round holes or punch you own grid of holes for the early cars.
They won't rot, warp, or tear as easily as the originals.
The small metal bracket that slips behind the door lock will have to be reused from the old panel.

Since the number ordered affects the price, I can offer them now for a lower price than what the regular retail price will be.

The prices are as follows.

Rennlist pre order price - Left or right unfinished panel $250 each, $500 per set. Regular price will be $300 each or $600 per set.

Rennlist pre order price - finished in new leather and sliverknit carpet, $400 each, $800 per set. Regular price $450 each $900 per set

Rennlist pre order price - finished in new vinyl and sliverknit carpet, $325 each $650 per set. Regular price $375 each $750 per set.

Door inserts, handles, bins, and mounting clips are NOT included.

If you want to order a set, please send a PM, call or email me. Shipping charges are additional.
I take all major credit cards, you can send me a check or I can send a Paypal invoice.
ETA is the second week in May.
I'll take orders at these prices until May 7th.

I take if you finish them in leather, we will need to cut the leather ourself to install the speakers?

No. If you tell me the size holes you want, I'll cut and trim them.

Rob-

I'm good for door panels right now, but there might also be a market for 1/8" ABS center console side covers made with the proper curvature (for the airbag cars '90-'95, and for the earlier version 78-89). Mine are trashed and I would bet many others' are as well. Just a thought.

I didn't think to weigh them but they felt light when I lifted one. I'll get by the shop Monday and weigh them.

Will you be making rear replacement panels? If so will the leather be set aside to have matching colors? I'd also like to recover the seats with matching leather.

+1!

All the center console I see are warped at the base around the windows control. And often cracked around the radio/air control.

Just hope my bonus get in before May 7.

Rear quarter panel replacements would be a possibility. The tooling and prototyping for a panel that size would be very costly. The size moves it beyond the capability of most fabrication shops. But I think I may be able to come up with a solution.
In any event, it will be a while before I can dedicate some time to it. Perhaps late summer or fall.

When spreading work over time or projects, its best to get the leather hides at one time from the same dye lot.
So yes, I have many customers who opt for buying the hides to be used now and later on other panels.

I've been looking into doing these. Perhaps later this year.

Some creative plastic work can resolve some of these problems. Cyanoacrylate type adhesives work well here.

The OEM panels weigh 3.4 lbs without the leather, carpet, and storage bin. The reproductions weigh 3.0 lbs without the leather, carpet, and storage bin EDITED 4/24/10
