My 82 euro had body colored slats (one was in the car when I got it), but my replacments from 982int are black. One more question while we are on the subject. My original was alluminum, but replacments are plastic. Was there a change? and if so when?

Changed from alloy to plastic to save money. Uprights have always been plastic. Luckily the new uprights seem to be better made.

Remember it was easy for an owner to paint the horizontals if needed.
