I won't make it to SITM this year - I'm still getting the Shark roadworthy for extended trips - I have to replace the cooling lines yet, because I have a small leak from somewhere. And if I'm leaking, even though it's small, it's not holding pressure, and if it's not holding pressure, then it's not going to protect it from the Texas heat in a few months.

You nailed it though, that 2 pin connector was unplugged. The previous owner had it disconnected and wrapped in electrical tape for some reason.

From the wiring diagrams I have for the 85-86, that switch gets power from fuse 24.
