Default Need more electrical help boys!!!

First off... THANKS, fuse 24 did bring my digital and analog gauges back to life.

Now, the digital readout doesn't turn off though when you shut off the car. Just leaves the odometer reading up and the other 2 blank but lit up.

Still no power windows yet though....any ideas on these 2 problems??

That is indeed the intended behaviour - so you can minot any faults and mileage/odo after you pull the key...

I'd suggest buying an owners manual and then read it fully.

Also, there's a few other 928 folks in SK that can help........where you at?

If you want to operate one of these cars, I strongly encourage you to get the manuals, complete with wiring diagrams, and buy a nice multimeter. As anyone can tell you, these cars are very mechanically sound, failures tend to arise from electrical difficulties. Practice tracing circuits through the CE panel and to sensors/plugs, etc if you aren't already comfortable with it. Depending on the skills/laziness of your PO, you may have some serious correcting to do with some of the wiring in the car, and restoring to factory default will make it much easier to diagnose problems.

I used to be terrible with electrics, but after getting this car and the diagrams, I think I am pretty competent. It isn't difficult, it just takes practice, and you get another skill to boot. Very much worthwhile, IMO.

No power windows could be: 1) the switch contacts, 2) the fuse, or 3) the relay.

On my car cleaning the contacts in the switches didn't help & the fuse was good, so it took a new relay to cure the problem.
