Martin, I believe the only part that had an issue was the intake. Lots of crevices and you can't see everything. The second cleaning was $5 at the car wash, high pressure and soap.

Martin, I don't know this as fact, but what I believe happened is this: Richard's intake was soda blasted. And being soda, when it got wet, it clumped up. Unfortunately, it clumped in the crevasses of the intake. After a time, it dried out, and probably the engine vibration, allowed it to drop down and get sucked into the engine. I would say ithe amount of soda was some quantity less than a cup or so(based on the amount that was mixed with the oil, and the gritty residue throughout the engine). That is how I believe it happened.

Richard,
It was a pleasure helping out. I'm glad we were able to help get it done for you. BradW was and continues to be the uber-friend of the 928 crowd. He allows us to use his lift, use his tools, use his lights and electricity at night, and even drink his beer if we forget to bring our own. Can't get a much better friend than that.

After all the times you have helped out the DFW group it was nice to get you back.
Really glad it all worked out.

Special thank you to Brad and letting us use hid house, shop, tools, beer and on and on.
Bit strange that he would not let us loose on his young lady as well.
Thanks Brad.
