Default Door Armrest vents and Leatherique question

I'm Leatheriqueing the 88SE with the full Leather interior.

Armrest vents - can they be removed - how ? So I can clean them and get rejuvinator oil into the leather underneath.

Leatherique rejuv oil general question.
Painting it on with a paintbrush onto the interior trim Leather - rear quarter panels and such like. Within 5 minutes or so I get areas where, for want of a better description I get something similar to the fisheyes you get when painting paint over somewhere that has silicon on it - any ideas ? Is it just being absorbed really quickly ?

Now I have a leatheriqued keyboard as well, and my hands are as soft as they have ever been since I was born,

Have you tried removing the two black round vent covers at the very front of the door (only visible when door is open)?

That should allow you to reach below the vents and possibly see how they are held in.

Hi Nicole

I probably should have said that all the interior of the car except the dash an pod and front seats is in the house.

since my original question I got the vents out - once you've removed the mirror switches (two tabs to squeeze from below) the vent assy can be prised out starting at mirror switch end using carefull application of a couple of flat screwdrivers and thumbnails.

The fisheye look is definitely normal, I've seen this on every car I've used it on. I typically will apply Rejuvenator on the whole car and then go back to where I started and apply again. This helps get full coverage and add more product where it's needed.

BTW, I would suggest wearing gloves when using Rejuvenator. If you leave it on too long it softens the skin so much it causes peeling once its dried out. Ask me how I know.

I've just done my interior with the "woolies" kit. After I had uses the cleaner which I rubbed in with a cloth, little patches as you desribed appeared around the small holes in the seat centers. I waited for a few days then went over them again with the cleaner and they did not reappear.

I applied the dye with a cloth and got very good results on the first application. I'm going to do a second coat this weeekend and then use the sealer to finish off.

The steering wheel which was white and badly cracked came up very well, using 3 coats of cleaner, then two coats of dye. I have special sealant for the wheel which was also supplied by "woolies."
