Hello!
I'm a new member, and generally new on Porsche. Bought myself a 1979 928, which has been sitting for ten years(though engine has been started every now and then)
I'm starting to work out all the problems on it, and today I tried fixing some of my dash problems. Just about nothing(except the red bulb on the end of the voltage gauge scale) on the right side of the speedo is working. First I thought it was the bulbs, but when I got the dash out today every bulb is fine. I've checked the fuses, and they look all right, without corrosion. After putting the three conectors on and off some times, the oil gauge suddenly ries to 3 bar, with engine off. Turned on the engine, and the gaug went straight to zero, and died. What can be worng? I'm kind of missing the oil pressure gauge, and warning lights![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Though it should be said, that it's done many strange things with the car. It's fitted with a start button, instead of turning the key, the white/brown cable of the centre connector on the dash was cut(I have fixed it together again).

best thing you can do is get a mulit meter and check all the prongs on the 3 connectors on the back of the dash board. aslo get a work shop manual so you can trace the wires.
