I just talked to jbturtle and he's parting out his 3 928s. I am going to be within a mile of his place next week, and am going to go by and check out what he's got. Anybody want me to look at anything for them?

He's got a few parts on ebay already:

Wise choice, a good introduction to the 928 isn't working on it a few years before you can drive it.

Hopefully the 79 he will sell intact, seems like it might have been close to driving, close at least for someone with the tools, time, and experience.

Nothing on ebay attracted my attention that much, its easier for me unless something is pretty cheap to just stop by 928Intl and get a known good part.

Sent you a PM on a few things.

I have a 1979 US, 1979 Euro, and a 1983 US.
The US 79 and 83 were parts for the 79 Euro.

I got the Euro running but then one day it went plunk. It started to make rattling noise and won't start so I screwed up somewhere. Really disappointing because I just needed to finish the brakes and I would have been driving but apparently it wasn't ready anyway. Because I had to return to school I realized I would never finish with the new problem so I decided to scrap the project.

The reasons I bought the 1983. The Interior was all black and in excellent condition because it was wrecked and rarely used. I was planing on switching it into the Euro. I have the complete history for the vehicle.

I bought the 1979 US for parts mostly and the manual transmission because it was overhauled shortly before it was wrecked. I also have the complete history for this vehicle also.

I can't list anything on Rennlist because I am not a member but go ahead and checkout my ebay listing and ask me if you need anything.

Thanks.

I just got back from looking at these. There's some good stuff here.

The '79 euro appears to have a perfect body. Most of the paint looks good except the back end which is extremely oxidized. We were debating whether it had been repainted or not, hard to tell. Dark green, not sure which shade as the door jam label is gone. The interior I would have considered repairable if the rest of the car was in good shape. The engine has the spider removed, and like Justin said it ran until it started making some bad noises. At very minimum this would be a great shell for a track car, it might even be capable of resurrecting for the street. If someone is restoring a dark green interior there may be some items in here you can use. Some great, others average. I *think* the seats are leather. The dash appears to be leather and some seams are starting to split. It has phone dials that are in good but not perfect condition. Better than mine, actually.

The US 79 was a rollover victim and the interior is terrible. It has polished phone dials that look pretty good.

The '83 5 speed has front end damage from being driven into an orchard. The interior is in very good shape. It has very good black seats and a black dash with no cracks. Justin says there's a bend in the dash but I didn't see it. Paint is zinnmetallic. Fenders are already removed and in very good shape.

I bought a perfect black pod from the '83 and the steering wheel from the Euro (3 spoke, leather still in good shape). If I had room I'd have taken the whole Euro as a parts car.

I've strongly suggested to Justin that he pay the dues and start listing parts.
