We were down at VA Intl Raceway last weeekend with our 964 track cars
and met up with some local 928 guys.

1989 928 GT ran with our group, that was Ed's car, passed him a couple of times.

Sat, John and his son stopped by with his 1982 5 speed and then on Sunday they brought the other '82 also a 5 speed with the original comp package.

We actually were able to do some laps during the lunch break for charity and I rode along.

The charity was for a PCA Instructor killed in Charlotte the weekend before
when a tree branch went thru the window opening after going off track.

Terrible shame..he was scheduled to be at VIR last weekend.Raised over $3k

Nice to see a trio of 928's at a PCA track event and even a rare 89 GT..!!

928 obsession

This thread is useless without pictures..... It was great meeting up with some 928 guys out at the track. Maybe we could arrange another 928 gtg at the track sometime later in the year?

That is sad to hear. Anything can happen I guess.

I had a number of friends at that VIR I heard you had a few dry runs.

We usually get a few 928's down at VIR. Last year we had a few including Gary Knox who always shows up in November. Nice car almost too nice for track use. Had some guys come down from Canada for Watkins Glen last year too. I always enjoy watching the 928's run.

If I could fit behind the wheel with a helmet on I would love to give my 928 a run at one of these tracks but I just fit better in the 964.
