Default Workshop manuals on ebay for sale

If someone is looking for a set. Right now there are two sets of WSM's on ebay with no bids for $100. One has a reserve, the other doesn't. You may get them for cheap if you need or want a set.

You can always download them for free and print off at a fraction of the cost.

your best bet if you want to save $ is to buy the set on CD from Jim Morehouse, then print it off if you want. I have the 9 vol factory gray set and Jim's cd, but I pretty much just use the hard set now. It is expensive to buy the hard sets, but I like the full size wiring diagrams. Jim's cds have a bunch of other things not in the factory set, such as TSBs and tutorials. It's a must have no matter what, and is only $70 or so.

The earlier covers were also reddish/brown. The factory issued supplements each year so it was entirely possible to keep an early set up-to-date, and it looks like that might be the case with the second set. But the $1000 price is silly.

I believe that the later, gray 9-vol sets are all complete for all years. Maybe someone can confirm that.

If you are serious about working on these cars then having both an original set and Jim's CD set is worthwhile. Budget should not really be an issue-- these cars are not cheap to maintain even if you do your own work. Everything you can learn helps avoid costly mistakes-- like changing things that don't really need changing. The diagnostic tests alone are worth the price, and that is information not found elsewhere. And the tech info on Jim's CD's is full of hidden gems.

I find myself using both the printed manual and the CD. The wiring diagrams particularly are easier to read in the original full-size pages, and "browsing" is simpler. But it is also nice to have a copy on the computer particularly when traveling, and also to print particular pages and mark those up with notes and greasy finger-prints instead of the originals. If I am chasing electrical issues then I print the relevant pages and tape them together into a large mosaic, and mark that up with colored pens and highlighters to follow the electrons around.

Happy hunting!

9 gray manuals are strickly collectors item for me. Haven't opened them for years I think. No need to as its faster to just scroll to correct page on PDF's and print needed sections for garage use. Bad quality wiring diabrams are possibly only drawback on CD set. Will eventually fix it by scanning as good quality copy as possible and print it to two dozen or so A3 size papers for garage wall.

I print out per job from the free PDF and bind them as I go along. However, I would love to have a set of those slick factory manuals, dirty fingerprints and all.

I have replaced a bad seat switch problems before and am pretty sure this it not a switch problem. What's happening to my drivers side seat is the seat will work in any direction when it want to work. This is an intermittent problem some times i can get the seat to work and other times the switches are dead . I do have memory seats that don't work any more and am having an issue with my electric mirror function also not working. Any idea on the problem and how to maybe get this car back up to speed it's to nice of car to let thing start compiling. If thing get worse I may have to just strip it and chase mark Kibort around the track. Any help is appreciated left side works fine and I am located in Arizona so any local electric guru is welcomed i am a bit slow when it comes to electrical. thanks if your in Arizona and like to talk my phone is 602-300-4819 and ask for Gregory thanks for the help.

Welcome aboard. You should read the FAQ thread at the top of this forum before you post too much more. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have a question unrelated to a thread you are reading, you should post the question in a new thread. Not generally good idea to hijak threads (altho some do often enuff anyway).
Post pics of your car too (again, in a seperate thread)
