delete them. The contrast is nice sometimes, creating an eye-line like Darklands mentions, but just LOOK at your first pic!!

regarding digs, it's the rear section above the strips that gets nailed all the time. SATA's strips are typically too low for the edge of a door...hence the reason for dinging the mirror from someone's front door or the rear section just aft of the door handle from someone's rear door.

Why is this even a question? Delete the g-d damn things.

The rub strips are not offering much in the way of protection anyway. Pull your nearest suv up next to it and open the door. Is the rub strip anywhere near where that suv door will contact your door?

I doubt it.

Delete without a millisecond of thought. Just look at the photos above. Though the car came with them, it looks "pure" without them.

If you delete them, have the holes welded closed. But if you delete them, you have to make sure the body is perfectly straight before painting. This is especially critical on dark colored cars.

No question, if it is an option, delete 'em... The walk to and from the back of the lot gives you extra time to admire the curves. Might help with your shape as well!

I say Keep them !!!

They will save your doors from BIG dents which are hard to get out as the side crash bar is right there.
On some cars (color and year) they make the shark look sleeker and not so bulbous.
Although some like the no spoiler and no wing look, so whatever floats your boat.

To each is own certainly.

I went against the current and decided to keep mine. I never thought they took anything away from the lines of the car. And most certainly less distracting than a big ding in the middle of a door.

The day after I picked up the car from Kevin's place, they had already saved me from a ding. No matter how far I park, I seem to attract the old Ladies that push their car door open with their feet

Kevin even modified the last part of the strips to match the new flares, much like the GTS. So it wasn't a matter of more or less work, or even money, I just don't dislike the look, and do appreciate the extra protection.

Delete obviously but you need to trust the welder. Two of my welds failed but the shop took care of it.
