Looking to buy a used crank vent hose for my 79 the one on the car only has half left unless someone has some other ideas to fab something up myself. Its the black hose that goes from the oil fill cap to the air filter.

First block of the water line it is not needed. Then go to the auto parts store and ask to go behind the counter and look at their hoses...you can probably find two hoses which you can splice together (short alloy tube two hose clamps) best if they are oil breather hoses but water hose will work for quite a while.

Thanks james I might have to do that. So can I totally block of the waterline or just reroute it past with a longer hose?
