Default 1988 928 "Pink" Color

Ok has anyone seen this color in person. I am sure its factory because it goes with the interior. I looks really strange to me.

I think that car is actually tan, like one of the early colors. It came up here before...seems like the owner had an early 928 in that color and really liked it and custom ordered this one to match...someone else will chime in here shortly I am sure.

"Rare Color". There's a reason for that.

It does say "rare" color. They call it "beige," but I'd call it salmon...my dad almost bought a 1981 Buick Regal in that color--it was $1,000 less than any other Regal on the lot--and that color was the reason...thankfully logic beat the pocketbook.

Sheesh.. what's with all the color conservatism? The 928 came in a large variety of awesome colours.

I'd love a 928 this colour.. beats the crap out of any of the silver, black or guards red 928 colours. Unfortuantely, manual gearbox and no sunroof pretty much reduces my choice of cars to very very few candidates.

I like this one, it's the rare colors that appeal to me.

This one was spec order for sure.

I kinda like it, would be a good stablemate to the Raspberry Red GTS ;-)

But I gotta say, the interior blows my mind, what color are those seats, some shade of gray with caramel brown piping? Bizarre! Would need a major "Champagne job" to have a decent-looking interior in there ..

I believe it is Ceramic Beige 499 an 87-88 color that is very close to Cashmere Beige on the OBs. I don't think it looks as pink in person as it does in the pictures. I have pictures of my car that look almost pink, but it never looks pink in person.
And yes I would love to have that car. It was for sale almost a year ago for close to $18K if I remember correctly. There was an 87 for sale at the same time with tan/cork looking interior.

I saw it on the LA Craig'slist, and I really like it. The color is so unusual that it is hard to believe that it is a Porsche color. I think it would look real good in my garage Isn't that the same color as Leeroy

The care is not pink-ish. It is beige. The surrounding dark wood makes it look different. When I saw Leeroy at Sharktoberfest I thought it was the same color. Brendan might be able to offer better comments about it as he is Leeroys current caretaker. I called the dealer about this car some time ago. It sounds like a really nice car. For me the best part is the interior. I looks just great.

The car is in the OC of SoCal. Would be good if one of the locals would take a look at it. I'm not in the market so no interest other than curiosity.
