Put it on ebay. More people search there
Nice car btw.

edit: actually put it for sale everywhere! Cars, Autotrader, Hemmings, etc..

He should relist it then, its not there now, and if I was in the market, I would check there first.
It's fast and easy to search

All but one quarter panel has been repainted at some time, passenger fender is a replacement, repainted using single stage paints it's a 10ft, not a 2ft car. My guess is that the car was repainted at times due to minor mishaps and shopping cart encounters. The car has never crashed to my knowledge."

How could the control arm be bent but never crashed?

Heck, I am the 6th owner!! I don't know how stupid the PO's were? How could I until I get into the car and try fixing stuff. Who wouldn't replace a silly part in the console to not fix the odometer? 5 PO'S I can't fix. Sorry but that is the hand that I was delt.

"To My Knowledge"

Some driver ran over a brick or a really big pot hole? A bad tow job? Heck I didn't know until I got under the car. It was replaced though because that is not like me. The car should be better than when I got it, and is. I still have more old stuff to fix if I keep it but it is for sale.

Nicole put a rock thru her floorboard, who woulda thunk it?

I like how putting only 2000 miles in the last 5 years is seen as a positive.....

Actually, it can happen quite easily. His control arm that I actually replaced had the standard "rollback operator bend." For those that don't know, there are a lot of 928s with bent rear control arms that come as a result of hooking a winch cable to the control arm to pull the car onto a rollback.

I've spent more time on my back, staring up at the bottom of Mike's car then just about anyone. Any bodywork that it's had has been entirely cosmetic/superficial stuff that happens from careless little mishaps (i.e. runaway shopping carts.) FWIW, the fenders and hood still have the factory labels with the VIN intact.

Sorry, I thought you wanted comments.

Nothing wrong with the history but that is what stuck out in the ad for me. I think the starting price is fair but unless you are the best deal in town nothing is selling right now.

I think realistically him saying the market is at $15k-$30K says he hopes to get ~$15K.... at least thats how I'd read it. That may not be so far off...

Yes he needs to say more about the car for sure... or maybe he really doesn't want to sell...

Who wants to insult this guy with a realistic offer?
Why do you feel the need to make a post like this? IMHO, this is completely unnecessary! If you don't care to find out more about the car or you don't like the sellers price look for another one elsewhere or MAYBE you send him a nice note and keep in touch in case he decides to lower his asking price to where you're a buyer? You can't blame the guy for trying to get the most $ possible; he doesn't owe you anything! I hope the seller tells all you guys who feel the need to impart your extensive market knowledge on him to pound sand!!! Having sold many cars over the years; usually the emails or phone calls that start with this tone go no where fast and I don't waste much time with them.......

Sure he doesn't give hardly any relevant details that we would like to know. But then he didn't post it for sale here. Its on CL, where he is likely to receive a wide variety of responses. Maybe he's got a little bit of attitude about it. But for all anyone knows, the dude's car might be in mint condition. And possibly worth $15k+. The market extends beyond Rennlist. Just because nobody here would be willing to pay $15k for it doesn't mean there isn't someone out there that is. Its worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. Nobody here knows for sure until it sells. But the sharks are out on a frenzy over it. But then when Performance mag puts out some insulting values for our cars, we'll all be complaining about how little our cars are worth. Sheesh, cut the guy a break.
+928! Amen!

I don't think its a matter of offending people at all; personally, I think it reflects poorly on the OP (in this case you but, you're not the first to post on this topic and probably won't be the last) and proliferates the poor image some have of RL when these threads pop up.

+1 Unfortunately, this group really does eat it's own. Mickster - are you sure you want to buy a 928?
