Pressure * Volume = number of moles * R-constant * Temperature
so...
Volume = (number of moles * R-constant * Temperature) / Pressure
It's modified somewhat for a gas that is not ideal, but it will put you in the ballpark. One mole of air is about 29 grams.

Because the municipal water supply in Orange County isn't fit for human consumption, our department has a water cooler fed by those 5-gallon water jugs. How we justify this when the University and California is broke escapes me, but I digress...
We used to keep the jugs in the hallway by the office. The fire marshal came through and demanded that they be moved out of the hall because they're a fire hazard.
This world is starting to make my head hurt.

K mentioned that she wants to do away with the water softener at the house, in favor of one of the Life-Source water filters. She wants to have all the minerals in the water she says. I point out to her that we have a four-stage drinking-water-only filter that she refuses to drink from. But the Life-Source is better, since it doesn't need to be replaced. I explained that the one she wants gets replaced every two years instead of every six months like the one we already have, but is otherwise identical,just bigger. Plus I want the soft water to keep the shower clean and free of calcium stearate, keep the toiltes clean and stain-free, use a third of the laundry detergent needed with the hard water we have, and want to be able to wash the cars at home. She drinks bottled water because it's convenient, and the water from the multi-stage filter is relatively tasteless. There is no accounting for the reasoning people use around water.
