I think the twisties would've put a lot more distance between the two cars, had he been working it, even in a 'gentleman's match'.
We both were pushing the cars to their limit. When going downhill the GT3 owner was driving a 996tt and he was leading the way. I was on the tail of the GT3 at all times with a big gap between the 996TT and the GT3. We got to the bottom of the mountain and they switched cars again. The 996TT left because her wife "got sick", lol. When going up the hill I was pretty close to him and gaining in some corners (very rapidly). Also he was driving more agressively then before because I was in his tail. When we got to the top he passed an Infinity and I stayed behind because it was no longer safe. If it was closed race course I'm sure I would have passed him. Supercharge a 928, add good suspension/springs, devek steering components, big brakes, 10.5" rear wheels etc and you will get a winner :-))).

Fair 'nuff, I should've read your sig more closely wrt the suspension mods. i was lucky enough to have a bit of Lucky's time when I was fiddling with mine at a couple of points. I'd love to see a Youtube of your discussion with them before/after, if such a thing happened! Darn turtle shaped tailwaggers...

Alright, garage is build (in-dry) but I went 100% over the budget. So I need to sell the car to buy sheetrock, siding, electrical, flooring for the addition and 2nd floor, etc etc and also to make pregnant wife happy again.

Price is reduced to $17,500!

Btw, my car only needs a rollcage and a good diet to be race ready. It has all the right modifications (including LSD, twin disk clutch, suspension, brakes, SC, cooling system, swaybar, etc) to be a good performer.

My wife would kill me if my car cloned itself in the driveway...

If I only had the cash! That is a sweet project you are working on. Your garage is bigger than my house! Looking good!

Dan, You Can Do IT :-)

The garage is 1000 sq ft, upstairs is about 900 sq ft and there is an additional 360 sq ft connecting the garage and the house. The car will be at SITM for anyone that is interested.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering about the reliability of such a setup, I have a very similar one and just passed 227k miles, with ~50k miles on the S/C.
