Tveltman, I hope your right. I also had a clutch job (including master and slave) a couple of months ago. Could it be leftovers from that job??

Looks to me like a piece of burlap that got sucked off the road, or left there by mistake years ago.

Good news... And it prolly is part of your alt cooling hose that separated, leaving the wire behind. On my monitor it just looks like a clump of shredded belt debris.

Time to look down low on the driver side and see if your hose is intact and in-place.

Survey says.............. ALTERNATOR COOLING HOSE. Yeah, the wire is still intact, but a hunk of the hose is missing. Weird that it flew up and into the place I found it. Thanks.
