Congratulations on thinking out of the box!
I have center locks on a Carrera 4 GTS and they are pretty cool.
The wheel changing procedure intimidated me a bit, but then I bought the tools and did it... NO problem!
I wonder if you could get 21's and the 10 piston ceramic brakes from a Cayenne Turbo S on their?. I'll pull a wheel snd check it out!
Enjoy!

Did you ever finish your project and offer a centerlock conversion for the 928?
Thanks.

The front hubs are still on the shelf for now. The forge line parts could be interesting, but the fronts may push the wheel center out a bit much in a 928 compared to a 997/991.. I don't know as I haven't yet tried with those parts.
The Porsche Motorsports parts I want to use need me to make new hubs and a spindle as explained earlier.
I just bought a GTS 5 speed so I'm currently sorting that as it's the 2nd manual GTS for the US and the first black manual GTS in the US.
Not to mention the rest of the stable needing regular stuff. So, no I haven't had time yet to finish the center lock project...
PS only the front needs doing, rears are done.

It's cool looking but not practical
Meant it more as a means to get the Porsche 20-inch 911 Turbo Carbon Wheel on my 928 (in my dreams).
However, the price must drop by a factor of at least five before I would consider them - if they even could be made to fit.
(Right now I have Carrera Classic 235/35/19 & 295/30/19 on my 928GTS and they barely fit.)

Hi Richard, hope you are doing well. You might be remember we met in Reims? You started this thread right before I jumped into the sharktank here. Cool project that I didn't know you were doing. I hope you get the time to finish it! I'll start sorting my 91GT next week, so I hear you with the fleet maintenance, etc. Cheers, John

Yes, I remember you from Reims! I'm doing fine, thanks! Yes, this is one of the many nutty things that I have on the shelf
Good luck with the GT, hope we can meet again sometime.

How is it going with this interesting topic?
I know it has been some years since there were any updates.
You mention earlier that the parts for the rears are off-shelf parts. Do you mind sharing where to get the parts?

The front wheels are still unfinished. I have been too busy with life.
The rears can be obtained from Porsche Motorsports or a racing team that runs the old style centerlock wheels.
You will also need the pressure disc and locking nut, which is smaller than the new style nut.
It also requires the torque wrench to get it to something like 250 lb/ft tightness.
Porsche Motorsports or a race team can tell you the specifications for fastening.
I'm not on this forum much so if you wish you can send me an email
