James,
Don't I know. Brad W has graciously offered his lift so I can replace the AL balljoints this weekend along with finishing up some odds and ends on it.

The Jalapeno was repainted at some point(no color change thank God), but I can't find any damage so I am guessing that it was just a refresh. HOWEVER, the paint used on the refresh was either faulty or inexpensive because it has oxidized on all the horizontal surfaces and is a nice white chalky color. You can actually use the roughness of your hands to remove the chalky white. It is dent free, but there is just a smidgen of rust at the rear quarter windows, which I have arrested. Brad asked previously why we didn't just paint it. I am going to discuss this with him some more this weekend.

Yea, you ought to pull those rear qtr windows and put a decent coat of paint on the thing and keep it dude. Love the Euro S cars and in Oak green...man you can't beat that! I repainted my '81 nearly a decade ago and the car still looks great! Cost me like $2700! WELL WORTH IT! Seriously w/ an auto I probably would have already had a serious look at it and if I found a place that could do the paint for a reasonable price we would have already done a deal... w/ a 5 spd I suspect you will even have MORE buyers!

James,
I love the Jalapeno, but there is no way I could keep it. I am already emotionally attached to the Stepson; I've got the Schwartz car that I am itching to get fixed. I am about 10 grand upside down in the Schwartz. (the old adage" $10000 away from a $5000 car" comes to mind). And of course, I have the GTS. All others will probably get sold at some point. I just can't stand leaving them outside in the elements. I do drive them all except the Schwartz.

Are you coming up for breakfast on Saturday?

Can't make b-fast bro'! I probably ought to come up to D/FW at some point, but it won't be anytime real soon...

Why don't YOU come down to LUNCH with us! You won't even have to get up to early in the AM to get here for the fun!

Have you been following the '85 on CL in LA? Holy cow! Working A/C EURO S, Red/Black auto, $3600! And I don't have a job! Well, beyond that I am out of space with out a couple of parking lifts too, so what I really need is to win the lottery so I can afford the SUPER GARAGE (as if 6 cars, 5.1 surround sound and A/C is not super enough!) LOL!

If it's two stage paint (no color in the dust that comes off on your hands) you might be able to get a few more years out of it by having it rebuffed out with cutting compound. It worked on another car I had, and worst case, you're out $80 if you do it yourself. You just need a rotary buffer (heavy thing a cheap polisher won't do it, $50-60 at Pepboys, Northern Tool or Harbor Freight or you can get nicer ones) and a quart of 3m Perfect-It II Medium Rubbing compound. Heavy duty rubbing compound makes for less work, but it's easier to burn through the paint.

This was just one row.....

Enjoyed seeing everyone. It was COLD.

The show at Classic BMW was good too, drove by there. Good turnout given the weather. Stayed long enough to see a really nice Lambo Estrada then got back in the car and cranked the heater up.

WOW!!! Great job guys!!! Hoping when the weather gets a bit better and some of our guys with sick sharks get them all healed up we can start pushing 8 to 10 on a regular basis, but if you add up ALL the different 928's that have been to our gatherings over the last year we have not had that many different ones... even with my 5 that get driven!

24 cars wow................there's prolly not that many in all of the frozen North up here.

Good to see Roger still wearing his shorts despite your 'cold' weather.
