Default Computer Help Needed-Morehouse CD's

I know even less about computers than I do about 928's.

I have managed to download/navigate the PET6 and the WSM from the Morehouse collection. Now I am trying to access the Tech Publication CD's, specifically # 1, seeking a vacuum hose diagram which has been mentioned on a post here today.

I put the disc in and get to the introductory page which lists contents but has no links and states that the page is to be closed after reading. I am unable to figure out how to then open and read the contents of the disc.
I have Adobe9 installed. Actually I think I may have opened it once a few weeks ago but have no idea how. Help please.

Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and use it to look at the files. Double-click on the file that you want to look at, and Windows should open it with the appropriate program (usually Adobe Reader, although Acrobat will also open pdf files).

I click on Start, then Programs, and I find Windows Media, Windows Messenger, Windows Live, but no
Windows Explorer. My OS is Windows XP.

Look in Accessories...

Right-click on Windows Explorer, select Send To Desktop, and you will end up with an icon on the desktop.

Did you transfer the files from the disc to your computer? Drag the folders on the disc to your desktop. Then open them from there. I believe they should automatically open with windows explorer. If not you can right click and chose "open with". THen chose windows explorer as the default.

Ah....as usual right click is magic. I have now opened the disc and see the files available.
Next challenge will be to try to download. I have PET on hard drive but not the other discs.
Don't quite understand how to drag the folders. Like I said, know more about Porsches than computers, but I'm working on it. Thank you all.
