I have been a member for a couple of years now and after getting the car running properly I have started the interior make over. I gutted the interior and have put some of it back. Some I will redo because I just wanted the car on the road and functional. So here are a couple of pics. Any comments or tips are welcome. Matt P.

Matt – Excellent! On my 84, I was surprised how much of the vinyl and leather I could recover myself—that didn’t require sewing. i.e., the center cassette box cover, the rear center cover, the doors, etc. What are you going to do with your dash and pod? I’m guessing it’s cracked (?)

The carpet is an easy (but time consuming) project too. But man, does the car smell better when it’s done…

Like James said--another one saved!

When I gutted the car I replaced the dash and pod. I lucked into two cars as a package deal not far from home. So most of the parts that I needed I have from the parts cars. I did buy an industrial sewing machine because I want to fix everything on the car myself. The seatcover in the picture was tan until I dyed it. Then it was just a matter of sewing some of the original cover in parts that seperated. So far the car has been a blast to work on and this forum and the people on it have been GREAT!
