The K Jet cars have a bolt that goes through the top of the intake plenum and holds the base of the airbox onto the fuel distributor. Look for it at the back of the center part of the spider.

I think you need to remove also the bolt on top rear center of the air intake - I had this problem on my 78, and finally removed the top bolt - it goes all the way thru to a spot at the bottom of the air cleaner, where it curves down under the intake, and holds it on there. The bolt is pictured here on top rear center of the intake plenum:

+1! Absolutely correct, you need to remove that bolt.

Fabio, You did just fine with your verbal description. I think the problem is that sometimes people cannot make a mental picture from a word description. Its kind of like some people cannot think in three dimension. For example I was designing our house to build and wanted a lot of input from my wife and we were working from the floor plans. When I got it up in real life she was like OH! THAT'S WHAT IT'S LIKE?

On the other hand I think that is the basis for the phrase, a picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes.

Fabio, i was typing and pulling up a pic at the same time you were posting - we posted pretty much at the same time. I wouldn't have bothered had I seen your post first - it was right on too. Didn't mean to step on your toes!

The OP's car is a ROW car ( Euro ) so it has K-Jet. Your car should have L-Jet so no bolt.

No, you didn't step on any toes. I was just wondering what I missed. Maybe I could have worded something differently. Just asking. Pictures are good.
