I am looking for a compact amplifier to replace it with the stock amp and I found a Shark Amp on ebay. Anyone has experience with these amps? I couldn't find any reference using the search function.

Known brands (alpine, infinity, mtx etc...) are cheap enough used. I see little reason to try this.

You are still going to need something to drive your sub.
The amp looks good enough on paper for what most of us need, and it is cheap enough.
Most amps of that power rating seem to have a lot more cooling fins though.

I'm a big fan of the Infinity Digital line circa late 90's. Friend of mine and I built a couple of very nice competition level system using them.
This is the only one I found on eBay, kinda dirty but they all look like this:

If I ever decide to do a full re-do of the auto in my 928, I'm going to use them. IIRC one or two in this line will fit perfectly where the stock jack goes.

Greg, stock location by the passsenger door. Thanks for the offer but I think my amp is fine. I want to replace the amp and get new speakers (front ones are toast).

Not a terriable amp spec wise. S/N ratio could be better I prefer greater than 95db, THD is good and CLASS AB is good (sound quality). Definitely let me know how it works out. To bad its not a 5 channel amp so you can add the sub. Unforuntely in a 928 your not going to get sonic bliss with just replacing the factory speakers a SUB is definitely needed. I recently made a nice box that fits in the spare tire well and looks completely factory using a small JL audio 8" and it did wonders filling in the bottom end!

I have always got great sound from HiFonics amps, oodles of power and can handle 2ohm loads with ease. Look for the discontinued Warrior/eagle series ... Very compact.

I like the MBQuarts I have in the front of mine, Alpines in the back, maybe a little "Bright" for me, but they will run you out of the car.
Oh, my old Kenwood five channel amp is about as big as the spare tire, I think they have gotten better, smaller and cheaper since I bought my amp.
