FS: 1980 Euro S
Well, it is time to get rid of the ol' beast. Pictures are below. (Asking $2800) THIS HAS CHANGED ON PAGE 3, PLEASE SEE NEW PRICE.
It is a 5 speed with the 300hp Euro engine with full import papers from Germany. Odomoter stopped at 166,000 km. I got the car about a year and a half ago and drove it for 8 months straight with no problems.
I stopped driving it upon deciding to sell it locally, when the problems started. One interested person put down a deposit (check, d'oh) and took the beauty to see if he was interested. We got the car back 2 weeks later with a missing radio and a broken window motor. Also, the shifter had given out and needed a new ball cup. Oh, and his check bounced.
Well, after much deliberation we had those fixed when the shop ran it out of gas prompting a new fuel filter. Finally, we're ready to say goodbye to her and would like someone honest to take a look at her.
The Good:
Decent paint, flecks and tiny nicks that are expected with age though.
Pascha interior
Runs fantastic
Brand new clutch hydraulics
Rebuilt Steering Rack
Factory Manuals!
The Bad:
Wiggly Shifter, probably rear shift coupler
Shrinking leather dash
NO RADIO (grrr)
Needs a little gas to start
2nd gear synchro is shot
Was in minor fender bender, full insurance & maintenance docs are included from the incident
PM or email me if you are interested. I'm going to miss this car.

What a cool car. I hope someone on here grabs her. Good luck with the sale.

What was the nature of the fender bender? Were the pictures taken before or after?

Looks to need new dash (leather or whatever)... $2k
New front bumper cover... $?
New front spoiler...$400ish...or maybe that one can be fixed...we saw a nicely fixed S4 spoiler the other day here
New/rebuilt trans... $1500ish?
Or just buy and drive it like you stole it... I have certainly seen worse cars for the kind of money you are asking, but it would take more than a few bucks to get this up to Morrison collection standards. It will be a REALLY fun car for someone though!

You might want to go back and read my post again...I was just outlining the things that I would need to do to the car to bring it up to the standards that I set for my cars... I did go on to say, buy it and drive it! That is in fact a good deal! It would even be a fun car to bring back because it starts out being pretty decent and the stuff that is needed can be done a bit here and a bit there.
I think it is a GREAT BUY!

The thought did cross my mind since I don't yet have an '80...also the problem is this is a 5spd car. I also was thinking about it for a few young drivers I know who would like to jump in the Porsche pool but don't have a lot of money...
Let me say ONE MORE FREAKING TIME... I think this is going to be a really FUN CAR FOR SOMEONE and a REALLY GOOD DEAL if you are looking for a DD/fun car vs. a concours car!
Thanks for asking...

Those are the pictures after the fender bender, you can see on the driver side how it is a little bent. Yeah, while the synchro for 2nd gear is shot I never really had a problem driving it, I would just ease it into gear as opposed to jamming it. If you rev to 5000 and try to go to 2nd, it will whine at you quite a bit.
