Winter Project: Any harm to suspension with car on blocks
Right now she's sitting about 2 ft off the floor on all fours for W/P, crank and oil pump seals replacement and TB. I am also replaceing the motor mounts and the oil pan gasket. Later on the blue hose, master and slave cylinders too.
Am I doing any harm to the suspension, including the gas shocks with the 4 wheels just hanging there?
Please and thank you.

No worries, eh
As long as you have the 4 frame points positively even..the suspension is just fine extended against the bottom of the spring travel. I use four 15 ton screw jacks from Northern tool and the car is 22" off the floor, very stable. Because the car is very rigid, it is so important to have all 4 lift points the same height and tight against the car, especially when you lift the engine up to replace the motor mounts. I used a wooden block, an engine crane hoist and chain so I could get the motor up, but not too high after the steering rack is out of the way...safety ..safety..safety.. 'nough said.. Good luck

Thanks guys. I feel a lot better now.
I have the 4 jacking points all at the same height + a 4 ton trolley jack built up to barely touch the diff, just in case. It is very stable and this 22" to 24" off the ground provides a lot of clearance (with the rad fan out) to do just about any surgical procedure up front.
