I put seat heaters in my Corvette when I did the seats, they were aftermarket, and could be cut, they get hot, does my old back good, one of the best mods I made to the car.

I will install them on the S4 when the time comes.

Another question from the paranoid 928 owner mind if you guys would allow.

Any fire danger in these older style wire heaters? Lots of lint etc built up under these seats over the years. How hot do the elements actually get?

Any danger here at all of igniting anything?

I'm already at the point where I constantly smell the air in the car looking for doom, I'll be installing smoke detectors next...

I leave mine on in the Corvette overnight, it has not burnt up yet.
