Default 82 New pod?

Within the next month or so I am having my odometer/speedometer repaired. The original pod has the "classic" crack in the middle, so it seems like the best time to replace the pod. What are my options for purchase? My interior is all leather.
Thanks.......Rick

My interior is all leather.
If you interior is all leather I wonder how the Pod cracked. Leather might deteriorate from the sunlight, but it usually will not crack like the cast vinyl most of the Pods are made of.

Another option is, however, to have it covered in leather. It could either match the leather in your car or match the non leather in your car. Is the Pod Black? That might be the easiest to match, although there are several different blacks available and different textures also.

As we speak, I am having my formerly black pod recovered in tan leather to match the tan leather that we put in on most everything else about three years ago. My trim guy is Doug Corson, of Corson Classic, Custom and Rod Interiors here in Grand Junction, CO. He is one of the best I have come across, present company included. He doesn't own a 928, but he did a great job with my S4 interior.

If you like I can try to post or will send you some pictures of my pod when he is done with it. He and I are working now on the patterns for the leather, so I am anxious to see the end product.

I could send you some samples of the leather that might be used. I have two or three different black hides that I am going to use for steering wheels, and I have a dark Red one and a dark blue one both of which are close to those colors in the 928's. I have been using them on the custom center console glove box that I designed.

Send me a PM if you want to look into having it done here. By the way, I suppose that I could have Doug cover one of my spare pods, take pictures of it, and then trade you for your cracked one for the cost of having Doug cover it and shipping.

Most full leather cars still have an uncovered pod.

I have actually seen one 928 that was "all leather." I think it was one of the last GTS cars. It did have all leather--even the ***** were covered in leather.

I wonder if it doesn't have "full leather" but it has leather, what it that called?

Partial leather.

How about some pictures and prices from your trimmer?

I had my GTS pod covered in black leather by Just Dashes" not impressed at all.
Paul Champagne will redo it for me to get the exact stock leather look.

The car in Nicole's signature line is the one I think you are talking about with the leather *****. Very beautiful.
