Default Any body got a pic of the undertrays??

Giovanni says he has an undertray for my GT..the one that is silver, mounts over the catalytic/exhaust and hangs mid chasis by two 'V' shaped hangers
Not the plastic one that is in the middle between the spoiler and the aluminum
one I am seeking. P/N ,I think is 928 504 029 02..OR.. 928 113 161 03

What I would like is a pic to confirm which one I am lookin' for..I cannot get a pic of it cause I don't have one..!!

Someone please post a pic please...Thanks, Kevin

I've owned 6 928's and the above pics are the first time I have seen the undertrays.
Rob, please clarify the first pic, two trays, look similar, one black one silver. Are they two different rear trays?

Sorry, Jim, I shoulda explained- they're both functionally identical. The silver one is off of my GT and my GTS came without one, so I ordered a new one. The new one was painted black, so that's what you get from Porsche these days. Or at least I did.

The part # for the rear pan is 928 504 029 02, at least by my read of PET they didn't start using it until 1987. Pre S4 there's only a smaller front pan, 928 504 941 04. There's an aluminum version of the S4 pan (http://www.mailordercentral.com/928i...504%20021%2003) that I think can be fitted to pre-87 cars if you're so inclined.

Kevin-

I got the black one for $177 in October 2008, using the part # 928 504 029 02 GRV. Apparently the 'GRV' tacked onto the end is important. Took a month from Germany.

Hi Rob, I've never seen a bellypan either! Is the right side of the one pictured the front? What does the rear edge of the bellypan attach to ... the rear pan, parts of the body, or maybe a combination of the two?

If I may...the 1st pic is two of the same bellypan..the right side in the pic attaches to the rear edge of the engine pan and the two metal brackets are rearward and attach up into the body...It creates an air circulation pattern from front to back...also protects the catalytic and O2 sensor This 2nd pan also stabilizes the mid pan, which came originally came as a plastic fibre pan with the cooling ducts for the starter and stuff.I just bought the new metal forward pan from 928 INTL..just looking for the rear pan..and I do not want to wait til it comes from Germany....I think alot of these pans get removed by shops during service and not put back on just like the 911 engine pans get left off, that , however, is supposedly to create a cooler engine area on the air cooled models....

Jim and Tom,

The black pan (the second pic in post #2) attaches to the front spoiler on S4 and newer 928's. It is made of plastic/fibre of some kind. There are aftermarket versions in aluminum.

The top pic in post #2 is two of the same pan (as noted above) and is the rear most pan and it connects to the larger plastic/fiber pan on one side and again as noted the other end bolts to the underside of the car.

These are not the same kind of pans that you see on the PRE-S4 cars, but all S4/GTS cars should have this pairing of pans...

The rear belly pan is available out of Germany and the number is 928 504 029 02 GRV.
Rob is right the GRV is important. My current price is $208. They have 66 in Germany.
You also need the two mounting brackets 928 504 137 02. They are currently unavailable - go figure.
Takes two days to reach me from Germany.
Hope that helps,
Roger
