Uh-oh. If there is still fuel in the tank, does it leak?

Not good news - the threaded boss has come loose. You maybe able to glue it back in place with some special adhesive. You may be looking for a new tank.

If it turns it should turn both ways, right? Was it hard to turn left the first time? Anyway, since the boss probably broke free from the tank, you should be able to pull it straight out - try it very carefully, do not put too much force on the pump. It should look like the pics in this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...p-failure.html

That's all correct, and 88porsche928's car is an '89, just to confuse us all

Cheers,

I have sealed up a spun insert with PC11. Never leaked a drop in 3+ years.
