Hot post cover ?
I always thought that the "Hot post " cover was just that, a plastic cover that fits over the "Hot bolt thing " for want of a better description, mine has that.
After reading a post on here it seems my car is missing quite a large plastic shroud cover that protects the associated electric plug and wiring, does anyone know if this cover was fitted to all models, or just on certain years.
My other query is, if it should have one, is there a part number available, must say it looks much tidier with one fitted !

part numbers as follows
Hot post stud 928 612 868 01
Hot post cap 928 612 073 00
Hot post cover 928 612 871 02
Note the stud on an early car does not have a threaded portion for the new style cap to screw onto
So if you drill a hole into the end of the original stud you can JB weld a bolt into the end and then cut off the head with a dremel .
As the stud AFAIK is NLA...... if you dont have the threaded cap you need one to hold the cover in place

Rogers got them for $5.95 and the actual post cap for just a bit more.
