Default Car transport delivery check

What should be checked if anything when a new (to me) 928 is dropped off?
Does the transport driver wait if necessary for any checks that should be done?
Thanks for your helpl, Ron.

Not much to do except check for any new looking damage, the PO checked on loading then compare between the two. Make note with the driver before they leave.

+1, not much you can check for, the delivery driver will have performed and inspection as well when it was picked up, usually with a diagram of the car that will illustrate any issues(scratches and dents) so they will not be held liable, if you happen to notice a scratch or a dent.

Just got it. You're right. The driver had more details about scratches, nicks etc... than I could see. The Intercity company really does a great job protecting the car in a custom made 53' container. I finally got my first shark, red '86.

It the things that you don't see that can be a worry.

How was the vehicle secured front and rear for the delivery to stop it moving.

Many delivery companies attach the chains around the flat section arm of the rear suspension which can be bent, so I would suggest that you undertake an under car inspection to verify everything is in order.

A good guide for towing titled "Towing and Road Service Guide for Porsche Vehicles" is obtainable on the 'Net". It was produced by "Quality and Education Services, AAA Automotive, 1000 AAA Drive, Heathrow, FL3276, UK".

Google it and you should get a copy and the 928 is included.

I carry a guide in my car folder.

I missed seeing the car tiedowns, but Intercity I found out transport lots of Porshce cars to racetracks. I'm guessing for now that they did it right.
So, about the car: wow, they look even better when they're yours. I've had very little time to look at it today. Only drove it into the garage. It looks great to me, very shiny paint [must be new? - I'll check soon] has the forged wheels very polished/shiny. The interior is good - the seats are in great shape, all the trim, inside roof etc.. are in good shape. I'll update what I find out in the "newbie Intro" thread.
Thankx all, sharing my info makes it more enjoyable.

My delivery company dropped a chain on my GTS and let it rattle against the b-pillar for a few miles. $600 in damage and they never paid.

Hope that mf'er died.

My delivery company, put a car above mine in the enclosed hauler with an oil leak, luckily it leaked on the windshield glass and was only 2 dime size spots.
